PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS:GT-730F GNSS USB Dongle Receiver is a total solution of dual GPS/GLONASS receiver, all-in-view tracking technology. This supports two satellite navigation systems GPS and GLONASS. This receiver can communicate with other electronic devices by USB interface. The GPS/GLONASS USB Receiver is designed as an ultra low power consumption device, and high position accuracy. It will update the satellite position every second.
Basically both satellite-based positioning methods work according to an identical principle: a receiver receives satellite signals and calculates its own current position. The difference between the two systems is in the form of information transmission. GPS satellites transmit on one frequency band, while GLONASS satellites transmit the same information over two frequency bands. This makes it possible for a GLONASS receiver to compensate the signal delays, that occurs in the Earth's ionosphere, and calculate the distance to the satellite accurately. Because of this precision, positioning and velocity determination using GLONASS are more accurate.
A particular advantage of this device is that it combines the two modes of operation. The GPS/GLONASS receiver has access to almost twice as many satellite information as a GPS receiver.
